But when I realized that there was meditation apparel, I wasn’t sure what to expect.</p>
<h2>Introducing…. Leggings</h2>
<p>Actually reintroducing; leggings were huge back in the 1980s. But that’s talking style… Here we are discussing the proper clothing to wear during a non-activity that may be fashionable; more utilitarian than stylish. Preferably made out of some organic or natural material, leggings’ seem to be the meditator’s choice of ‘bottom wear’. These should not be overly tight at the waist, you are trying to relax. A fold over waistband or drawstring is ideal for this type of pants; but ridiculously comfortable or low wasted leggings work out extremely well, too. Comfortable and light is basically the best thought to keep in mind when considering what to wear during meditation. Meditation clothing made from hemp, light linen and organic cotton or bamboo is the perfect fit for becoming mentally balanced and emotionally calm. Leggings, shorts and Capri’s are frequently utilized for not only meditation but yoga as well.</p>
<h2>Yoga Styles vs. Meditation Apparel</h2>
<p>These two styles of clothing are basically birds of a feather and can be found together on web sites and certain clothing stores. Loose fitting, comfortable tops that breathe and are not scratchy against your skin come in all shapes, sizes and designs for both yoga and meditation. Leggings can sometimes offer certain people a more safe and secure feeling but without being overly binding. They can feel snugly and warm thereby encouraging a calm, peaceful and Zen-like frame of mind.</p>
<p>The beauty of wearing <a href="http://www.barenecessities.com/Leggings-Hosiery_catalog_nxs,34,style,14571.htm">leggings</a> while meditating is that, should you be called upon to go out in a hurry or have an unexpected visitor, you will be right in style with the Hollywood and designer fashions of today.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you are male and in your 20&#8217;s or if you have a twenty something  man in your life and his health is a concern it&#8217;s important to pay attention to the kinds of foods that are being consumed. Many 20 year olds pay attention to things like going out and drinking with their friends and consuming fast food but they aren&#8217;t as health conscious as they should be.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-20" title="healthy-men" src="http://www.amitabhafoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/healthy-men.jpg" alt="healthy-men" width="250" height="241" />Men usually don&#8217;t get enough sleep or the appropriate nutrition or even the right exercise and later in life they might find themselves paying the price with health problems.  Keeping that in focus, it is important to eat a moderate amount of red meats &#8211; plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit, and dairy for calcium and strong bones. Once you reach 30 your bones are pretty much done growing so while you have the chance in your 20&#8217;s keep those bones stong.</p>
<p>The story is pretty much the same for muscles. When you are young your body builds muscle faster and easier.  Taking care of your health when you&#8217;re in your twenties is a great idea and will keep your body feeling good later in life.</p>
<p>You will have to keep eating well when you&#8217;re older but  as you move through your 30&#8217;s and 40&#8217;s your dietary needs will change. Men often decide that they want to wait until they get older and then they&#8217;ll worry about taking care of themselves,   but this can be dangerous because after a certain point prevention doesn&#8217;t help anymore.  The longer you wait the more difficult and drastic the methods for getting healthy become.</p>
<p>Staying healthy in your youth can keep the doctor away later in life . Keep an eye one what you eat when you&#8217;re young and you&#8217;ll keep your body a lot healthier when you&#8217;re older.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you go out to eat a lot, you might find yourself in a corporate restaurant chain from time to time. It doesn&#8217;t matter if these are fast food restaurants or &#8217;sit-down&#8217; restaurants, eating healthy can still be a challenge.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-15" title="healthy-eating" src="http://www.amitabhafoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/healthy-eating.jpg" alt="healthy-eating" width="250" height="187" />The good news is that it can be done / but you&#8217;ll need a strong will. You have a ton of choices at these places that are riddled with greasy fatty ingredients, however you don&#8217;t have to order them.  I&#8217;ve found that some restaurants have healthier appetizers or try a salad for a lighter meal.</p>
<p>Watch out for fatty protein sources like deep fried food, also stay away from cheese heavy dishes. Battered and fried cheese sticks are not good, if you&#8217;re eating healthy.  Instead choose lean meats  &#8211; chicken or fish and always go for grilled food instead of deep fried.  Grilling is much better for your heart as opposed to frying because they don&#8217;t retain any grease.  Baked fish and chicken are also good options.</p>
<p>If you have to order fried food, try to get food that is pan friend instead of deep fried because the longer it soaks in grease the unhealthier it is. In addition to ordering lean meats, also order fresh veggies, that being said &#8220;fresh&#8221; at a fast food chain might not be an option, but adding some color to your meal is better than none.</p>
<p>Get a salad as a side instead of French fries and take a close look at the information when it comes to low calorie or fat reduced menu items. Restaurants are getting better about giving information on their lighter fare so take advantage of that.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t assume your only choices are what the restaurant states as  &#8220;healthy&#8221;.  They often are, however there may be  many other choices/combinations that are healthier or just as healthy and more in favor of your personal taste.</p>
<p>When you are dining, you want your plate to be full of color.  If you look down at your plate and see nothing but shades of tan, then you can guarantee you are not eating healthy.  Try to keep the shades of tan foods to a minimum.</p>

<p>Yoga approaches training the body through poses and postures called asanas.  These asanas give us an image in our minds &#8211; something we can focus on.  Giving us all the ability to pay attention to our minds just as our body maintains the pose.  Regardless of everything, Yoga can be beneficial to every person.</p>
<p>Yoga is the resource used to accomplish better health and well being, acting as a means to a better you, giving you the ability to do what you do better, with less stress and more enthusiasm.</p>
<p>Yoga students tend to be happier and can easily recover from bodily and mental stresses with more ease than the average person.  Yoga is a tool that can be used to help with injuries both current &amp; past, as well as give the body the ability to prevent future injuries.  Long term Yoga students ten to be more healthy, with little sickness, and are more productive in their daily lives.</p>
<p>Yoga is an activity that requires physical strength, so it is best that you consult your primary physician before starting a new exercise routine. You may cause existing medical conditions to be aggravated if you just jump into a new exercise routine. Which is why it is important to talk with your doctor first.  Some forms of Yoga are extremely slow, and pay attention to form, fitness and strength, while other forms are more vigorous, focusing on your strength and stamina.</p>
